Eligible Personnel
Internship Programs are available to the following:
1. Students currently enrolled in a criminal justice, sociology, or similar class or course of study at an accredited school, academy, or college that would benefit from this program.
2. Instructors at an accredited school, academy, or college; who teach a class or course based in the criminal justice, sociology, or similar field that are seeking to broaden their personnel experiences in order to provide a better education to their students.
3. Individuals currently employed in a criminal justice or public safety capacity who would be well served by the experiences and exposure received in this program.
The above listed criteria are not intended to be all encompassing and all prospective interns will be reviewed for eligibility and acceptance on an individual basis.
Application for Admittance
1. All individuals requesting admittance into the program must submit a letter with at least two, non-relation, references. This letter should be submitted to the program administrator or his designee.
2. All potential interns should be scheduled for and pass a screening interview with the program officer and at least one program supervisor. The program administrator may also attend if available.
