The Ross Police Internship Program is based upon the principle that there is a fundamental difference between learning in a classroom environment and exposure to real life situations. This program seeks to provide its participants with supervised field activity where an intern is able to see the inner workings of a successful police department, and experience the life and job of a police officer in various capacities. Eligible PersonnelInternship Programs are available to the following:

Instructors at an accredited school, academy, or college; who teach a class or course based in the criminal justice, sociology, or similar field that are seeking to broaden their personnel experiences in order to provide a better education to their students. 3. Individuals currently employed in a criminal justice or public safety capacity who would be well served by the experiences and exposure received in this program.
Application for Admittance Programs1. One day (8 hours or less): The intern will experience one shift of routine patrol. This may but will necessarily include: 2. One week (16-40 hours): The intern will experience various shifts of patrol. This may but will not necessarily include: 3. One month or more
grater than 40 hours: The intern will experience various shifts of
patrol. This may but will not necessarily include: These above examples are mere possibilities and not meant to circumvent an established curriculum required by a school, academy, or college. These programs can be changed as needed on an individual basis as needed.
