Patrolman Joe LaMonica began his police career in November 1989. His law enforcement experience includes:

Military police officer while serving in the Pennsylvania National Guard.
Patrol officer positions with three municipal agencies including Ross Township.
Employment with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections as a prison corrections officer and "C.E.R.T." member (correctional emergency response team).
Crime scene photography.
Film & photo development.
Evidence collection and processing.
Criminal investigations.
Certified Field Training Officer.
Certified Firearms Instructor.
Joe began his employment with Ross Township in May of 1994. His current assignment is with the Patrol Division. His responsibilities include the SPIN (Southwest Pennsylvania Intelligence Network).

Since his employment began with Ross Township, he has attended various police training in subjects including but not limited to Field Training Officer Certification; Firearms Instructor Certification; Crime Scene Technician; Crime Scene Photography; and Interview and Interrogation Techniques.
