Patrolman Grubb was raised in Colts Neck, N.J. where he graduated from St. John Vianney High School. Ptlm. Grubb graduated from Temple University in 1995 with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. While at Temple, Ptlm. Grubb was the president of the Temple University Criminal Justice Society and performed independent studies analyzing police resource allocation for the Philadelphia and Abington Police Departments. Ptlm. Grubb is also a 1995 graduate of the Montgomery County Police Academy.

Prior to becoming a Ross Police Officer, Ptlm. Grubb spent five years as a Police Officer with the Horsham Police Department in Montgomery County. While in Montgomery County, Ptlm. Grubb obtained his Field Training Officer Certification and attended The Penn State Police Supervisor In-Service Training (POSIT) course. Ptlm. Grubb taught defensive tactics at the Bucks County Police Training Center and was a certified less lethal munitions instructor through Def-Tech.

Patrolman Grubb is currently assigned to the Patrol Division's K9 Unit with his partner, K9 Airus. Ptlm. Grubb is a member of The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Narcotics Enforcement Team (DANET) and the Department’s Ceremonial Unit. Ptlm. Grubb is certified in Police K-9 Decoy techniques and behavior modification and is a member of the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA). Ptlm. Grubb is continuing his interest in police training as a defensive tactics instructor for the department, certified by PPCT. Ptlm. Grubb is a member of the American Society for Law Enforcement Trainers. (ASLET). Ptlm. Grubb has extensive training in drug interdiction and investigation and is a member of the Pennsylvania Narcotics Officer’s Association. (PNOA).
