PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER
Media relations
are channeled through the department's Command Division. Major cases and
matters of public importance are released to all local newspapers and
television/radio stations. News conferences are conducted at the police
station and sometimes at the scene of certain incidents. Sergeant William Barrett serves as the primary Public
Information Officer and Sergeant Benjamin Dripps is the alternate PIO.
The Public Information Officer acts on authority directly from the office
of the Chief of Police.
